Prosecutor General, Loyce Matanda Moyo, has made a clarion call for intensified collaboration in the fight against drug trafficking, warning that the country faces a national crisis threatening public health, security and the rule of law.
Speaking at the Anti-Drug and Substance Courts Training Programme, she urged coordinated efforts among law enforcement agencies, prosecutors, and the judiciary.
“We are not dealing with isolated incidents,” she said.
“We are confronting a well-organised, transnational criminal enterprise that requires a unified and strategic response,” she added
She further highlighted the devastating impact of drug abuse on communities, especially the youth, and called for a shift in prosecutorial priorities.
Zimbabwe stands strong in the fight against drug abuse and trafficking, hoping to curb the scourge of drug abuse and safeguard its social and economic development.
